STORY
Tadap is a Hindi-language Romantic action drama film Writer by Rajat Arora and directed by Milan Luthria. Ahan Shetty, son of Suniel Shetty a Bollywood star and Tara Sutaria have played the lead role in the movie.
Ahan has made his debut in Bollywood by this film. It’s about a love story of a young boy, Ishana and a girl, Ramisa. They fall in love with each other. But Ramisa’s father is not interested in their relationship and wants to separate them from each other. And the film turns into a sad story.
The hero becomes very crazy and starts to lead an indisciplined lifestyle as he can’t overcome their relationship and always feels his ex-lover, Ramisa. Tadap is a full actions movie. So we can experience high-level action scenes in the movie as well as songs, dialogues which makes the film more interesting.
SUMMARY
Tadap film is an action romantic drama film and also it’s based on a true love story. This film is about a love story and in that film we can get a painful ending at the end.
Ahan Shetty played the role of Ishana who lives in Mussoorie with his adopted father. And his father is known as Daddy in local to everyone. Daddy is very close to Damodar who is a politician fighting for the state election. In the film, Ishana runs a theatre to help his daddy as well as Damodar in political activities.
On the day of vote counting, Damodar’s daughter, Ramisa returns from London where she was studying. And Damodar wins the election and celebrates the victory, Ishana meets Ramisa and fall in love on the first side. After Ramisa also gets attracted to him and they become very close to each other.
One day she confesses her craziness to him and Ishana also starts weakness for her. And as well, they come into an intimate romantic relationship.
But suddenly, Ramisa tells him that her father is forcing her to get married. She is trying to explain to her father about their relationship and wants not to meet for some days.
She leaves him with kisses and the scene is seen by her father, Damodar. And her grandmother decides to isolate them and teach a lesson to Ishana. On the other side, Ishana tells his daddy to Meet Damodar and convince him about their marriage. Daddy goes to meet Damodar and has been admitted by a road accident.
Meanwhile, Damodar has fixed her daughter marriage date with his own choice i.e. Anurag Mehta and when Ishana reaches the venue, he was badly beaten by the Damodar’s boys. Ramisa gets married in her against and is being sent to London.
After 3 years later, Ishana is impotent to makeover their relationship and his past life of her and turns into an aggressive man who composes that he will spoil Damodar’s business.
Actually, he is not able to overcome the incident of that night. Even his daddy has tried to make him understand and forget about the past and leave the Mussoorie and get a new life with a new person. And Ishana does not respond to his concept.
One day, Ramisa comes to Mussoorie from London and on her way home, she sees Her past lover Ishana and starts to feel very guilty about their relationship and for being the condition of their parents.
CRITICAL RESPONSE
- The film currently holds a rating of 20% based on 10 reviews and an average rating of 3.3 out of 10, according to the review aggregator website “Rotten Tomatoes”.
- The film is given a rating of 3/5 by Rachana Dubey of Times of India. And she also posted about the Film, “Tadap unabashedly plays to the gallery with action, Music and well-shot visuals, it would have helped a great deal if its screenplay had created some more room for the actors to drive home a more memorable love story”.
- ” Tadap serves you a raw action laced with heavyweight dialogues, old school romance, passion, deceit, bloodshed and few poetic lines to add a tinge of humour”, said Monika Rawal Kukreja of Hindustan Times.
- Tadap is also given a 1/5 rating by Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express and All the dialogues are called “Bombastic” and its characters are ” Stereotyped”.
- Divesh Sharma wrote, “The lead definitely share a Spark. Their histrionics is explained properly by good supporting performances by Kumud Mishra and Saurabh Shukla”. He also gives a 3/5 rating star for the film.
BOX OFFICE
Tadap is confirmed as a Hit from its collection. The first-day collection of the film was 4.05 crores, 4.12 crores on the second day, 5.35 crores on the third day and the weekend domestic gross to 13. 52 crores. As of 7th December, it has crossed 21.17 crores in India and 1.20 crores overseas.
