Arunita Khanjilal is an Indian professional Semi- classical singer. She is one the most popular Singers after winning the 1st runner up from “Indian Idol 12”.
Arunita also participated and won the Bengali singing reality show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” in 2013 when she was only ten years old. She usually sings in Bengali and Hindi languages.
Arunita Khanjilal was born on 18th January 2003 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She belongs to a Hindu Bengali Family of Bengal. She has completed her Schooling at St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata. Arunita started learning signing from her mother.
She was trained in classical music at the age of four by her maternal Uncle and later on, Rabindra Ganguly became her Guru and began to acquire further training.
In 2013, Arunita appeared in “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”, a Bengali Classical music reality show and won the title which gave her fame and names as well as she got the opportunity to sing a song in a Bengali film, “Aparichit”, music composed by Kumar Sanu. Next year, she also participated in another musical reality show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2014”. She got a chance to perform a show in honour of Vijay Thakur in 2016. Arunita also participated in “Indian Idol Season 12” and became the Runner up in 2020-2021.
Even our great singer, Bappi Lahiri offered her to record after her brilliant performance. Arunita also got the name when she has done a performance at “Wembley SSE Arena” in the UK (London), at the age of 18 years. After the show, she became the youngest Indian who has participated in that platform.
