Ritabhari Chakraborty is an Indian Actress who mainly appears in Bengali movies and televisions.
She is also known as a Model who started her journey from Young age. She got popularity and fame after appearing in two Bengali Commercial successful movies, “Shesh Theke Shuru” in 2019, a romantic thriller movie directed by Raj Chakraborty and “Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti” in 2020, directed by Aritra Mukherjee.
Ritabhari Chakraborty was born on 26th June 1992 at Kolkata, West Bengal. She belongs to a Bengali Hindu family. Her Parents are also related to Film Industry. As Utpalendu Chakraborty, who is a famous Filmmaker and Satarupa who is a film director. She has a younger sister named Chitrangada Chakraborty who is also an actress.
Ritabhari studied at “Hariyana Vidya Mandir” School which is in Kolkata. She has completed her graduation in History from ” Jadavpur University”, Kolkata.
Though she started her acting career as a morel when she was schooling, then she appeared on TV as a Female Protagonist of the Famous TV Serial “Ogu Bodhu Sundori” (2009-2010). After that, she appeared in many Bengali films. Her first film in Bengali is “Tomar Shange Praner Khela” directed by Rakesh Kumar, which was released in 2011. She also worked in many commercial movies such as “Chotushkone” in 2014, “Once Upon a Time in Kolkata” in 2014, “Bawal” in 2015, “Colkatay Columbus” in 2016, “Shesh Theke Shuru” in 2019, ” Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti” in 2020, ” Tiki-Taka” in 2020 etc.
Ritabhari Chakraborty also appeared in Bollywood movies as well as Malayalam movies. In 2018, she appeared in “Pari”, a horror film, directed by Prosit Roy. She also worked in some other Hindi movies such as “Naked” a short film in 2017, “Fool for love” in 2018, “Broken Frame” in 2019. And also the Malayalam film that she has appeared in are “Painting Life” in 2018, directed by Dr Biju.
Ritabhari also starred in a music video named “Orrey Mon” alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and produced by her own production company SCUD. In that video, a couple is trying to establish their life by opening a cafe together.
In 2010, she achieved ” Star Jalsha Entertainment Awards” for Best Actress. And also she was given” Protidin Tele Somman” for Best Female Debutant. She also got the “Uttam Kumar Kala Ratna Awards” for Best Actress in 2014.
