Parno Mittra is an Indian television actress who specially appears in Bengali films as well as TV Series. She is one of the successful actresses in the Tollywood industry and also she is known for her political marks. She started her career by working on television and now she is a famous face of the Bengali films industry.
Parno Mittra was born on 31st Oct 1986 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She belongs to a Bengali Hindu family. Though she was born in Kolkata she spent her childhood in Arunachal Pradesh as her father worked there.
She studied in two seminaries, at Dow Hill school in Kurseong, Darjeeling and also at Pratt Memorial school in Kolkata.
Parno Mittra made her debut on television name ” Khela” in 2007, a Serial of Ravi Ojha production in that serial she played the Character of Indira.
She also has acted in another popular serial “Mohona” as the lead role. She started to get fame and name from that work. And also she worked opposite Abir in “Shomoy” and played the second lead role in “Bou Kotha Kou”. She also worked in some more popular TV series.
She came for first in Bengali film in 2011, name of “Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona”, directed by Anjan Dutta. That movie got three “National Awards” for Best Bengali film and also received “Special Jury Award” as well as “Best Music”.
And after that, she started to get the opportunity to work with the best directors and appeared in “Bedroom”, “Ekla Akash”, “Dutta vs Dutta”, “Ami ar Amar Girlfriends”, “Apur Panchali”, ” Raj Kahini”, ” Shaheb Bibi Golaam”, ” The Bongs Again” etc. She played many kinds of characters through these Films.
Parno Mittra also worked for Bangladeshi Director Mostafa Sarwar Farooki in “The Clay Bird”. In that film, she shared her on-screen experience with the late Irrfan Khan and Rokeya Prachy.
In 2021, Parno has joined Bharatiya Janata Party. Now she is fighting for West Bengal Legislative Assembly election from Baranagar Constituency.
