Tanusree Chakraborty is an Indian-Bengali model as well as an actress in Film and Television. She especially appeared in Bengali Movies. She is an Indian Nationality and belongs to a Bengali Hindu family.
She is also called “PRIYADARSHINI”. TANUSHREE came into the limelight with high performance in some Super Bengali Movies “URO CHITHI” in 2011.
TANUSHREE CHAKRABORTY was born on 6th August 1984 in Hyderabad, India, and studied at KAMALA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL. She later started to continue her study in Political Science at BASANTI DEVI COLLEGE, a University of Calcutta affiliate.
After finishing school, she started to work as a model. At that time she did not have full confidence and idea of what modelling consisted of. Tanushree also worked as a model in Kolkata for a short time and after that, she appeared in numerous advertisements, among which was a Bangladeshi commercial for PRAN POWDER SPICE that was very popular in both Bengals. It was her first appearance in a TV advertisement.
TANUSHREE CHAKRABORTY worked in many Bengali Films and got fame from them. TANUSHREE started her film career with “BONDHU ESO TUMI” Bengali Movie. The movie was her debut film in Bengali films Industry and it was released on 9th July in 2010. She appeared in URO CHITHI (2011), BEDROOM (2012), BASANTA UTSAB (2013), OBHISHOPTO NIGHTY (2014), WINDOW CONNECTIONS (2014), BUNO HAANSH (2014), KHAAD (2014), and GUMNAAMI (2019). Along with Bengali Movies, she has worked on many TV shows.
Recently, Tanushree has hosted a beauty and lifestyle show called Sampurna on Bengali TV Channel Zee Bangla. Tanushree also appeared in Bengali shows such as DIDI NO 1 as a guest. TANUSHREE CHAKRABORTY joined the BJP in 2021. Tanushree was contesting from the Shampur constituency in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections on a party ticket.
